Our Story
The Russo Family name established itself when Joseph Russo opened his first Italian Restaurant back in 1967 on the west side. He brought his Sicilian roots to Grand Rapids, MI. Joseph and Stella Russo both immigrants from Sicily found their passion for the restaurant business and continued to grow along side their six children who helped make the restaurants what they are today. Joseph Russo’s two sons, Peter and Joey have continued their father‘s legacy and family recipes.
They recently opened another location in the gun lake area where they continue to provide a great dining experience.
The Russo Brothers currently own and operate 3 locations. Russo’s Pizzeria in Burnips, MI, Russo’s Pizzeria Bar & Grille in Hopkins, MI along with Russo’s Pizzeria Bar & Grille Gun Lake in Wayland, MI. There is a fourth Russo’s location in Dorr, MI who is owned and operated by brother and sister Craig & Angela Cass.
